The goal at Shooting Star Dance Center is to make you and your dancer feel completely comfortable so that you may both experience all that dance has to offer. We have been proud to bring this philosophy to the community at 403 Broad Street in Bloomfield for over 70 years.

We love Shooting Star Dance Center. My daughter is 17 years old and she has been a student of Miss Katie’s for many years. Miss Katie is an outstanding teacher and choreographer. She is kind, patient, and breaks down the dance steps into clear, achievable goals. My daughter takes tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical dance lessons. Every year she learns beautiful dances in each of these 4 genres that are performed at the annual dance recital. The rest of the staff at Shooting Star is also excellent!! Miss Michele is a wonderfully creative and kind teacher and choreographer, and my daughter loves learning from her as well. I, myself, am in the adult class, and I take tap, jazz, and Hawaiian dance lessons with Miss Gail. Kind, patient, and caring, Miss Gail is an absolute joy to learn from. The adult classes are fun and great for cardio and fitness. Adults of all ages enjoy these truly fulfilling classes. Miss Gail has choreographed and taught the adults beautiful dances that we have performed at the annual recitals. Both my daughter and I have made wonderful friends at this terrific studio.
